The D-U-N-S® number, the Data Universal Numbering System, is a unique identifier for business entities.

An Immediate Parent is any company that owns more than 50% of another company (subsidiary).

A Global Ultimate Parent is the highest ranking company in a corporate family tree worldwide, and is a company that has subsidiaries that in turn own subsidiaries.

D-U-N-S® Number Format

• Each line of your file must contain the full 9-digit D-U-N-S® number — truncated numbers will not return any search results.
• D-U-N-S® can be entered either as 123456789 or 12-345-6789.

File Format

• Use only .txt or Excel's .csv with only one data element per line.
• No headers or titles; commas, semicolons, |'s, etc.
• If you use a .csv file, put data only in the first column.
• Maximum of 5,000 data elements across all files uploaded.
